On a completely unrelated issue, I’d like to thank the young parents (or caregivers) who sat two rows behind us at the SouthSide Works Cinema on Saturday night for giving us an experience that I will not soon forget.
While appearing to be barely old enough to get in to an R-rated movie (“V for Vendetta”) themselves, they brought along their 2 year old for the movie. Obviously this couple love their child so much that they couldn’t bear to be away from her for two hours, so they just brought her along.
To hell with all the violence, to hell with the MPAA rating system, to hell with the other patrons who wanted to enjoy their time at the movies and kept telling them to quiet down. I know we certainly didn’t pay $17 to listen to a toddler cry, scream and wail when we could have done that at home for free.
